Due to its increased popularity Sky Atlantic now air it the day after at 9pm although this is also a subscription service. It is aired at 9pm in the UK due to it’s adult content with graphic violence and nudity however during the day on Sky Atlantic re-runs are shown of previous episode which are only able to view if the viewer puts a security pin in, this will stop young children from accidentally viewing it.

The content of game of thrones appeals to its audience, as it is fantasy, it offers the viewers an alternate world to the one that they live in which appeals to a lot of people. The high profile stars such as Emelia Clarke and Sean Bean also appeal to their audiences as people who are fans of their previous work will more than likely watch the programme. This is also shown in the marketing for the programme as they use a very aggressive marketing strategy with posters with the top billed cast.

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is aired Saturday to the next Sunday at 9pm on ITV 1. This is because of the adult content that it shows so it is on past the watershed. It is available to anyone with a TV as it is on the terrestrial channel ITV. Another thing that increases it’s availability is it’s not locked behind a paywall because it’s a free channel. The show is also available on ITV Player which is a catch-up service offered by ITV which is also free and all you need is an internet connection to watch it or alternatively you could download the app. 

The content of the show appeals to it’s audiences by showing celebrities in difficult trials that they wouldn’t do anywhere else. Another part of the content of that appeals to the audiences is the comedy. The hosts Ant & Dec often make fun of everything they see on the show which appeals to the audience because they want something to laugh at. The audience participation also appeals to the audience as it’s their choice who takes part in the trails and they vote who stays in the show or goes. This gives them a sense of power as they are the ones who control it.
